As part of an initiative to reduce discrimination in selection procedures and increase diversity in the academic world (go d!verse), the University of Bremen has been offering workshops and lectures since 2017. Within the framework of this workshop series, PIs of our Research Training Group took part in a workshop on unbiased personnel selection in March 2019.
Staying confident in the digital workplace (September - October 2020)
This online training series organized by our central unit for equal opportunities and anti-discrimination aims to support women early career researchers to meet the new challenges the corona pandemic and its containment measures pose. The facilitators will provide insights and strategies for professional self-presentation during video conferences, online networking methods, as well as ways of improving work-life-balance and making time and space for self-care.
Online talk on the hostility towards feminism in right-wing terrorism (September 24, 2020)
This event is hosted by the Demokratiezentrums des Landes Bremens and co-hosted by the central unit for equal opportunities and anti-discrimination of Bremen university. The talk will be held by Austrian expert Judith Goetz. The women’s representative of Bremen, Bettina Wilhelm, will hold a short guest talk. The event will be presented by Anneliese Niehoff, head of the administrative unit for central unit for equal opportunities and anti-discrimination of Bremen university. Further information (in German)
